She had on white wide-strap platform sandals, lace-y leggings, too-short/strap-less/chroma key-blue dress, fishnet cardigan, limp hair, 40-some years of wrinkles.
And two red cheeks.
Her uncle had just arrived. An uncle she'd never known. Showed up out of nowhere... the countryside, perhaps... He spoke of a great fortune he'd acquired and said he wanted to restore ties with what remained of his family, to ensure the proper resting place of his wealth.
She had been in the middle of preparing a morning tea, when the uncle arrived. Where had he been all this time? Perhaps the tea and he had breathed the same mountainous air. In any case, it would not do to serve tea without tea snacks. No, not at all.
So she stopped by the ATM, on her way to the store. In her white wide-strap platform sandals, lace-y leggings, too-short/strap-less/chroma key-blue dress, fishnet cardigan, limp hair, 40-some years of wrinkles.
