That's a pottery pillow, believe it or not -- my guess is that, as the people in the Wild Wild West used rocks for pillows, the Chinese must have found this sort of "pillow" pretty comfortable, too -- it's definitely more elegant than a rock:

Dinner time:

This was the most-est yummy-est! It was a lettuce leaf with shrimp cut up tiny-ly, some crunchy thingies that turned out to be savory doughnut dough type things and rice and spices and...:


I'll have you know I tried stinky tofu!! I even went back for more and people asked me in shock if I liked it, and I said, "well, I might as well get used to it." I think I'm quite a warrior for that. Haha. It really is quite stinky. I don't know how to explain it. It just is. It's like... ew... it just stinks. But it's all worth a try for culture and flavor.--And I'll probably do it again, just to "become one". :)
--And the reason I post this is because the ice-cream flavor was called "Obama Brownie". Haha. It's also the only reason I chose it. Haha again.
Ange, I really admire your determination to "become one". Most of that food just looks and sounds scary! :D
