I depart!

Well, these last two weeks have felt like a couple months, for some really odd reason... maybe because I haven't had any routine or "stability", so they seemed much longer than usual... :D Anyway, it's been a good two weeks. I've gotten everything done that I needed to get done, except getting ahold of a few people by phone, but will send emails, post, etc., accordingly...

I even had a very eventful last couple days, so busy that I haven't had time to write about it, neither did I take pictures, so you won't see it. :( Well, yesterday, we went out for pizza -- dinner donated by a friend. Yay! Sooo yummy! Then, on the spur of the moment, Mister Zero called, saying he was driving through and would take me to the birthday party of a total stranger (to me). That worked out and I ended up spending the evening meeting people I had seen or heard a lot about, enjoying that feeling of "you're not really strangers, because we all do the same thing" that you get from people you've never met, if they're people who do the same thing you do :), talking to lovely people who knew my parents well when I was a kid, etc., etc. We were up late, got up early-ish and I'm exhausted and a little concerned that I'm forgetting vital things before traveling...

But everything's in its place, everything's laid out, my alarm is set, my documents and ticket are within easy reach and the laptop will go into my bag in the morning. All surfaces will be cleared... So I should be set! :)

I'd reeeally appreciate prayers for this leg of the trip to be easy and uneventful in any negative ways, that I won't miss, lose or forget anything and that I can get some really deep sleep on the flight. (Also, that I won't have any problems or hassles with/about my luggage.)

I fly from Houston to Tokyo (14 hours), layover (2.5 hours), then my final flight from Tokyo to Taipei (4 hours).

Alrighty, well, I'll see you next in Taiwan (which, really, with this kind of contact, makes no difference :]).

Thanks to the lovely people I've been staying with... I've met some lovely people and had a lovely two weeks... Busy, but lovely... :)
