This is Thailand -- 2010-03-16

Well, we were quite unambitious today... Besides being awoken for an "emergency" work thing... (Since yesterday's memo to self worked so well, here's today's: Make sure that FJWL stuff is in/done and given to Lance, tomorrow.) Didn't do much else. I did a bit of work, we talked...

Ia and I had coffee and a granola bar outside, on the lovely veranda...

Then Paul and Faith got home and we all had lunch together and talked...

Then Ia and I went to Lotus (Tesco) and she got her SIM card, I espied interesting things... I even found a facial soap that I will try, since this weather is just killing my face.

Then... I got dragged to a mani/pedi!! Well, I think Ia had fore-warned me, but it didn't really sink in until we were actually at this place... so there we sat for 3 hours. I'm doing things I've never done before... first the haircut and now a bold color on my nails... and I don't even have nails to speak of. My reasonable "excuse" that I thought of just recently is: I play guitar; I play sports. Useful! Way to explain away your un-female-ness, Ange... The ladies were kinda slow, but one did a really good job and the other needed some extra training and experience, aherm. But anyway, that was quite special and bonding and now I'm even more of a lady -- temporarily, until the thin veneer of lady-ness begins to peel. Ahaha!

I did espy some he/shes while out, today, and was quite pleased with myself for being able to spot them right away. To me, there are obvious tells, but I don't know... maybe I just think I'm smart.

Then Ia and I procured some food from the street, which we ate at home, pleasantly...

Then we went up to Paul and Faith's room for gin and tonic. Jesus really DOES love me!! :)
