A few days before a one-day trip...
1. Find a suitable basket. As you will see, "suitable" is quite relative. A bag would do just fine, too. As would a flower pot. In this case, I grabbed the first empty receptacle I saw. Which reminds me: a Tupperware container. But make sure it's Tupperware. Because that one probably leaches less plastic into food.--And it's what we grew up hearing.--And "Tupperware" could actually sound frisky, if you picture that house-frau saying it. In an apron. Selah.

2. Next, choose a suitable location. Again, "suitable" is relative. What in life isn't? Oh! Oh! I know! Pick me!: Jesus. I answer my own question. But maybe make it a place where you aren't likely to forget you embarked on this endeavor, to begin with. I like to be safe and to give myself as few opportunities to be entirely dense, as I can. What was I saying? Oh, yeah... suitable... Which reminds me of this joke I once heard... What did the frog say to the chimpanzee in the suit? ... ... I actually have no idea, because I never heard that joke. In fact, I don't think it's been invented, yet.

3. Place object A in location B. I'll include a map, just to make sure we don't get lost...

4. Over the next few days, place the suitable items in the suitable basket/bag/flower pot/Tupperware/hammock/rocking horse, as you suitably remember them. (There are hunters and gatherers. You're either one or the other.--And there are no neutrals.) Things you don't want to forget. Things you're sure you'll never forget, but, if you're a scared-y cat like me, you just know will be precisely the things you won't pack. Just because you're so sure you. [ <--- See?! I even manage to forget vital words. :O ] Try not to place, in there, items you use on a daily basis. More on that point, specifically, in another lesson.

5. Bonus tip. Don't let it happen to YOU:
Looks like you need a bigger basket :) ... btw, Alina was excited to see Pinky ... you forgot to put him in your suitable receptacle when you came here ... but maybe that's because it wasn't a one-day trip.
ReplyDeleteWell, this is probably precisely why I now have a suitable receptacle. Because he should've been there, but he wasn't! Or maybe he just hid when it was time to leave... naughty Pinkie...
