Things that make me think

See the turban-y, turn-y thing on top of the truck? That thing you usually see on top of buildings that have large kitchens? An exhaust fan? Erm, yeah... He's not transporting it -- it was soldered to the roof!!--And turning!!

I do like Cherry Pink:

What I'm not so sure about is the fact that one serving suggestion includes "nipples":

This tea inspires me. Daily. It really does infuse me with leaf goodness and the power of the leaf. It also, surprisingly, leaves me feeling particularly professional. At least, professionally serviced:

--And yet, we have so far to go to attain this level of professionalism in our product content and packaging. Does Lipton actually know this is going on?

You can't see this recommendation so well, but, while enjoying dried mangoes in the Hong Kong (entirely-unnecessarily-outrageously-priced) airport, I did make sure to "enjoy this delicious and tasty snack" -- in fact, it might have even made me "fill with cheerful and delightful time!"

This luxury magazine -- filled with luxury-looking people, draped in luxury-looking things -- did fill me with wonder. When you work in publishing, you notice these things. That yellow was actually a skillfully-crafted tone of "gold", which would be very difficult to achieve without a lot of thought and maybe even luxury. Or money. The grey text was entirely ink-less, composed solely and simply -- yet highly luxury-ly -- of spot UV. Yes, we do notice these things. Now.

I did dutifully eye my belongings upon leaving the bathrooms in the Bangkok airport:

I was quite unimpressed, however, that they admonished me not to deposit my head scarf -- and the debris I collected last time I went windsurfing -- in the toilet (I collected debris while windsurfing, I didn't go windsurfing in the toilet -- I know some of you will actually misread that -- and I didn't actually collect debris while windsurfing; not once):

To me, this is a rather impressive thing to find between tiny and unimpressive gates at the Bangkok airport:

But this architecture was what most filled me with awe. When the sun was hitting it right... There was something vaguely related to this design, in the Hong Kong airport, too:
