Hong Kong

Highly uneventful day-trip. Left home at 10:00, was back around midnight. 3 hours to the airport, 3 hours back. Exciting non-communication with taxi driver on the way home, since I can't speak Mandarin and he couldn't speak English, haha. At least we both had some good laughs concerning our inability to communicate. But I managed to use my local rights and lefts, which got me home, heh.

Took this good advice, while waiting and munching on some dried mango at the gate (haha):

"Enjoy this delicious and tasty snack. It will make you fill with cheerful and delightful time."

And these are the kinds of things I notice now -- difficult to see in the lighting, and I'm not sure what spot UV/gloss/what-have-you effect this is, but it was a very interesting matte, barely-there grey (more like no color/ink at all, on that luxury-looking grey-black glossy cover); the L was a very luxurious-looking gold; very interesting, the whole attempt at lush-ness; this one was actually well-done; some other stuff is often just way too overboard in trying to impress :) :
