I so totally-amen this!

Love lesson: Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is, like Jesus, rest and replenish our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual tank. Go to bed earlier. Get healthier. Put breaks in your schedule. Build in personal alone time [and time with others]. It takes energy to love deeply.--Mike and Debbie Breaux

Having been sleep-deprived most of my life, I cannot agree more that life is just so much more pleasant when people get enough sleep.

I guess, also, due to being sleep-deprived in general and knowing how much of a fight it is to stay positive, to not let the natural toll show in your personality and daily interactions, it's easy for me to understand people who are grouchy and irritable due to a lack of sleep (insomniacs, sick people, parents with young children, etc.) -- it's almost impossible, barring mental and emotional miracles of and by God, to overcome something that's so physically draining, so just get that rest, amen? :) (By the same token, if one is able to sleep, but just doesn't do so because they choose to engage in sleep-depriving activities -- in other words, it's avoidable, aherm -- well, you know who you are and you know better, heh.)

I also know how much more drama occurs in my family when we're all out and about and having fun, but also skipping vital sleep and getting on each other's nerves, haha. That does support the statement above. :D

Oh well, the joys of life... :)
