Pacific

I was reading (again) “The Black-Bearded Barbarian” and came across this statement: “And a stormy voyage it was, for the Pacific does not always live up to her beautiful name, and she tossed the America about in a shocking manner.” Which made me think of Pacific as a person’s name and or what other name derivatives might come from it. Found an obscure reference – thought it was interesting. Remind me of this, if I ever have a mini-me. :D
