Wee words of soccer wisdom

Whatever you do, _don't_ pull an "innard" (that's my own word use, thankyouverymuch) muscle (you guys know who you are!) in soccer: all you end up doing is wincing every time you put weight on it and/or have to swing your leg out during various phases of mobility and/or try to walk up the stairs and/or try to lift that leg at all. I think I swung for the ball with my left leg instead of the usual right, right-kick, and that did it. Well, at least continuing to use it is making it heal at its normal pace, but injuries do have me concerned in my "old age", because they say you don't heal as quickly or completely. You may scoff and say that I'm not "old", but I'm sure that, even with healing times, there's a difference between 10, 20 and 30, aherm. Exactly. Okay, so, the moral of the story is if you do swing and strain an innard muscle, just keep using it. Amen! Selah.
