Thank yous

The Lego House Home did the sweeeeetest thing for us!! On Friday night, they prepared and hosted a happy activity in honor of our Home. Their whole Home is moving and has been spending a couple months a 5-minute walk from our house. We've had them over for fellowship, entertainment and aiding with Aleski. Besides all the friendships they have with people here, to be sure. I don't know what they or our Home members will do without each other -- all those friends and friendly people. Eek! Anyway, they made us stay outside the living room for an hour -- which was easy for some of us, since we were at Claire and Gabe's recital until 9:00-something -- and when we arrived, they had the whole room set-up with activities and interesting things, almost like a Festa Junina. Woohoo! We got tickets upon entry and could spend them on different things, which included a lucky dip, on-the-spot photos (to be printed later), receiving a Chinese name (and having it written out in lovely calligraphy), massages, henna tattoos, etc. I even got a free batch of snacks for guessing correctly what the character on Rika's snack bar poster was. Yaaay, pick meee!!! The guys outside with their "gun" and balloons had a bit of a hard time getting customers, which shows by the extremes Patrick had to resort to, but, for the most part, it seems like everyone's little ventures were pretty successful, heheh.

So, some photos... These are all the un-useful parts, of course, but just some happy people...

Mari and Angel getting their picture taken, the two lovely hat-wearers that they were (won in Priya's lucky dip, of course):

Okay, I'm not entirely sure what Stef's intention was with that outfit (besides maybe showing how sad it is when one has to resort to wearing forsake-all clothes during the last few days before departure, aherm) -- well, his sign did say "Harlequin", so maybe that had something to do with it; or maybe it was the "so fashion" promises of the little booth:

Here's Patrick, getting desperate for business, by stripping and offering a shot at the balloons he's wearing:

Ben looking intense and manly and Emma looking particularly sneaky and cheeky, haha:

Ben and Emma realizing they just had a silly photo taken of themselves and starting to threaten the poor and sweet photographer:

Even though this photo served no particular interest or purpose, Emma was quite impressed with how I managed to get myself into it, so it goes up for the records and posterity:

Ben is... a) wondering where that last drop of water went; b) having a stare-down with an inanimate object; c) plotting his revenge on the sweet lady who he blames for having shot his own finger when she had absolutely nothing to do with it (besides having been the last one holding the thing, even though she DID NOT cock the gun); d) pondering his very exhausting life; e) threatening the bugs that landed in his water:

Angel's lovely legs and I-know-not-whose lovely toes -- I think this photo is particularly artistic (haha), which is why I'm putting it here:

I thought this one was extreeemely artistic of me, too:

But this one takes the cake -- because I was trying to get Leigh's (who doesn't let me photograph her) lovely eye-decor side shot and I did (!!):

The only reason I have so many photos of these guys is because a few of us were being particularly silly and if there's silly going on, you're sure to find the two of them in it -- I think (hahaha):

Yeah, see what I mean -- there's Patrick feeling very manly about his clothes-removal:

See how exhausting all this silly-ness is? Ben taking a moment of meditation time:

--And now, for the very useful, informative and happy videos, as usual, of course...

Well, these people are all so wonderful and friendly and outgoing... As a whole/group, they're all that -- as individuals, they're the same, plus very sincere, dedicated and amazing individuals. Their new field will be sooo blessed and I'm praying that everything goes incredibly well for them with all these big changes on the horizon!
