My real appreciation(s)...

Last night, as part of our weekly Home (bonding) activity, we had spontaneous praises of by-guys-of-girls-in-the-Home and by-girls-of-guys-in-the-Home, general, not specific people. When I haven't had time to give something some thought, I usually don't have much to put forth, especially if I have to speak it. Writing is much more my medium -- and it gives me enough time to express myself properly. :)

They also had everyone write down their answers to these two questions, then mix and pick them, each one guessing who had written what they picked:

-- What is something you would change about your make-up? [Ange: "I think I would want to be meek, mild and sweet (eek)!"]
-- What is something you haven't done before that you would like to do? [Ange: "See the light; bungee jumping; helicopter ride; scuba diving*"]

Anyway, since I didn't contribute much to last night's praise-ing-ness of the guys in our Home, besides a few silly rejoinders and comments, I thought I should do it in writing and here. For the GIRLS, too. Actually, it's much to list the girls' -- there are so many more things about our Home's ladies that just stand out! Amen? We must band together!! (Yeah, you should've seen the guys acting out girls' actions and reactions last night... Uh... Yeah... Let's just say it was rather alarming how spot on some of them got it when portraying certain specimens. :O --And let's also clarify that I don't think they were at all representative of our females -- well, myself excepted, I'm sure.)

GIRLS --
-- So genuine and sincere; I like it!
-- Thoughtful and considerate
-- Accommodating, inclusive and accepting
-- Like my sisters, even though they're so groovy and I'm the weird one, haha
-- I'm sure my stupidity is irritating, but they still put up with it
-- Uplift and build-up
-- Relatable
-- None of the girls here have that "I know it all and much better than you" air, even though I know they know much more and much better than me, hahaha
-- As a new person, they've thought of me a lot and have gone out of their way to show it with their gestures and words

GUYS --
-- Great sense of humor (the girls, too)
-- Helpful (yeah, girls, as well)
-- Explain things in a non-"you're so dumb" way (at least so far, heheh -- our females, too)
-- Pretty expressive/vocal about what they appreciate in the girls in general; I was impressed (maybe that has something to do with the fact that most of them are married/involved and are skilled in the art of treating their women well, haha)
-- They almost top my levels of silliness, which is just GREAT!!!


We have a really good Home, with really good people. Sigh...


*Actually, I gave the scuba diving a bit more thought, later, and I'm not entirely sure I'd end up going for it, if presented with the opportunity. In theory, I'd be really interested, however, I think I'm a closet claustrophobic. I don't like sitting on couches with a bunch of random people -- it makes me feel confined and stuck, ack! Then, just thinking about being in full gear, under that much water... ack, don't think about it. So, yeah, maybe I'm changing my mind on the scuba diving. Since I've never been snorkeling, that could be an appropriate replacement, for now. (Baby steps...)
